Married:  15th December 1934 the Parish Church, Stoke Newington, London

They married when George was 25 and Gladys was 26 yrs and Mum 
was still living at home with her parents – Mum had three sisters; Dolly,
Adie, Florry, one brother; Ernie. Dad had two sisters Rosie, Lilly and a 
Brother, Alfred. Dad was a Porter (Bell Hop Boy) in the Savoy Hotel, London.

He was Mum’s father and He lived at 53 Sandbrook Road, Stoke Newington and was a Hotel “Porter” in London

ARTHUR MCWILLIAMS   Born : 1890 and he was seven years younger than Nanny Mac.

He was a Labourer and when he married Nanny Mac he was prepared to take on her 4 children with the youngest; Lilly; being only 2 years old.

Nanny Mac’s first husband committed suicide by drowning in a River.

Aunty Whelan moved from Sandbrook Road, Stoke Newington to Devon and called her house “Sandbrook” after the street that she lived in.  WHICH PART OF DEVON??????


NANNY WALTERS 


They Four Children: Rose, Alfred, George and Lilly
After her first husband died she married Grand-dad McWilliams they did not have any children.

GRANNY JANE WALTERS = Nanny Mac’s mother – Nanny Mac’s Dad used to call her a “Black Cow” (like black sheep of the family) because she was a bit of a rebel and would not comply with family life and her sister Auntie Rose Welham would be the peacemaker.


KEITH
Keith John Williamson was born 25th September 1936 in the Royal Free Hospital, London and he was living at 74, Neville Road, Stoke Newington, London, N.16 Keith did not have any brothers or sisters. 




at 44, Sunleigh Road, Alperton, Middlesex.   Dad was a tailor’s cutter
